Excessive Public Assistance $1 Billion Major League Tax
Increase The taxpayers are funding 100% for stadium renovations. The Chiefs and Royals are only contributing to renovation and expansion of luxury suites not to the renovation of the stadiums. User fees are optional. Teams are opposed to these charges because it takes revenue from them. Teams pay for all cost overruns. Royals and Chiefs shall have the right, at any time, to change the scope. The proponents have stated that plans could change after the vote. Strict limit on future taxpayer support. The 3/8 cent sales tax is for 25 years. The County contends taxpayer funding is capped at $425 million. Principal and interest is $700 million. Estimates for sales tax collected range from $837 million to $1.025 billion. The County does not discuss the continued city, county and state payment of $8.5 million per year for 25 years that total $212.5 million. Does your family have extra money? Can your family afford to give $5,000 to team owners, that don't contribute their fair share? In other words the more seats there are, the more tikets that are sold, the more it costs you and me. And we don't even get to go to the game.
We pay from $35 to $41 dollars and still don't get into the game.

The Bi-State Ball Hogs are trying to get in the trough with both front feet. More swill for the ball owners. More swill for the
ball players. They want more "suites" like the one mentioned in the K.C. Star. Where the liquor flows. Free food, all at Tax Payer expence-- you are paying for fat cats to belly up to the bar for free food! Is it the place that "deals" are made! The BIG corporations, the "big wheels roll into Chiefs suite for free" We don't even get to watch them suck up the drinks , we get to pay the money. They get to SUCK up the MONEY.
